The savvy Dutch did it again! On the 26th of September, 1918, this Royal Air Force (RAF) aircraft made an emergency landing at the beach of Vlissingen, The Netherlands. As the Dutch were neutral in the First World War, they confiscated the aircraft. After they paid the RAF, the Dutch put it into service in the Dutch Army (LVA).

The D-3271, a De Havilland DH.9, was a British single-engined biplane bomber.

This reproduction is the month of April of the Pioneers of Flight Calendar.
