An historical image of De Havilland DH.9 flying along the railroad tracks. The DH.9’s were used by KLM to fly from Amsterdam to London in the 1920s in about 2 hours.

In 1920 KLM bought its own aircraft. These DH.9s were modified bombers, with passengers sitting in the open air.

This reproduction is the month of August of the Pioneers of Flight Calendar.
