What an adventure that was. See this Fokker F.VIIa-3m 'Josephine Ford' on the Byrd Artic Expedition getting refueled.

The plane was the first to fly over the North Pole on May 9th, 1926 by Lt. Commander Richard Byrd. This painting is of a scene in 1927 in Spitzbergen.

Car-manufacturer Ford bought the first Fokker F.VIIa-3m from Anthony Fokker and named it after his daughter Josephine.

High quality poster. Reproduction of original handmade painting by Thijs Postma.
