Great scenery of Schloss Neuschwanstein. See it being inspected by a P-47 of the US Air Force.
The Republic P-47 Thunderbolt with registration 275587 was one of the 15,000+ P-47s built. The P-47 was introduced at the end of 1942 and flew until 1966.
Besides being a high altitude fighter, it was also used as a ground-attack airplane. It could sustain battle damage and remain airworthy.
