World’s fastest float plane belongs on your wall. The records were set in 1933 and 1934, with the fastest speed set on October 24th, 1934 at 709 km/h (440 mph). This world record for propeller-driven floatplanes still stands, almost 90 years later! The Italian Macchi M.72 was piloted by Francesco Agello.
