Amazing detail in this painting of the Junkers Ju 87G. The Ju 87 is more known as ‘Stuka’ (from Sturzkampfflugzeug or dive fighter).

The most famous ace that flew it was Hans-Ulrich Rudel depicted here over the Russian front in World War II.

The airbrakes of the plane made the plane slow down in a dive so it could aim more accurately. Later they also added sirenes to the plane to scare the enemy on the ground.
