What would it be like to stand in the crowd on the beach of Scheveningen, the Netherlands on this day? Admire the Farman HF-22 with registration LA-2 giving a demo flight. See also the other Farmans standing on the beach and the amount of details in this painting. This was actually the whole air force the Netherlands had in 1916.

The Farman HF-22 was a biplane but had more like 1.5 wings. They flew between 1913-1919 and regularly had engine reliability issues.
