After the First World War many pilots and technicians had no jobs. And many aircraft became surplus and thus sold at bargain. To earn money these pilots performed stunts, like flying through barns which gave them the nickname ‘Barnstormers'.
The Curtiss JN ‘Jenny’ was popular because of its good flying characteristics and available in large quantities.
This reproduction is the month of July of the Pioneers of Flight Calendar.
