The Royal Netherlands Air Force (KLu) in action with these shining Northrop NF-5As firing missiles at De Vliehors practice range.
The Northrop F-5 is a supersonic light fighter aircraft, initially designed in the 1950s. There are two main models, the original F-5A and F-5B trainer. The F-5 is smaller and simpler than contemporaries such as the McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II. As it was a relatively cheap aircraft to produce it became a popular export aircraft.
