See this Lockheed L-188 Electra II, nickname Mercurius, flying over the airport and seeing its two sisters standing on the apron.
The KLM operated 12 Lockheed L-188 Electra II’s and was an addition to the Vickers Viscount, which had a shorter range. On June 6th, 1959 the first Electra II was delivered to KLM. They remained in service until 1968.
