Another unique German fighter. The Messerschmitt Me 163 Komet or Me 163 B-1 rocket-fighter of the 2. Staffel of Jagdgeschwader 400 (JG 400) at Brandis. The Me 163 is participating in an attack on American B-17s. Two Mustangs shed their auxiliary tanks and unsuccessfully try to intercept the Me 163.
The Me 163 Komet was another revolutionary aircraft which had little influence on the outcome of the war.
