Another gift to the Dutch during the First World War in 1917. Due to the neutrality in the First World War, every aircraft that made an emergency landing was confiscated. This is Friedrichshafen FF.33L floatplane and was paid for by the Dutch to the Germans with horses. The Dutch Naval Aviation Service (MLD) flew 18 of these between 1918 and 1925.
This reproduction is the month of June of the Pioneers of Flight Calendar and July of the Artist Selection 2024.
