Admire the Dutch flying an outdated airplane during the Second World War. The rain drops make the painting special.

The completely obsolete Fairey Swordfish was used by the Royal Navy and the RAF during the entire Second World War.

Its most famous feat was the destruction of the Italian fleet in the harbour of Taranto in 1940.

Shown here is the LS298 operated by a Dutch crew of No.860 Squadron returning to the escort aircraft carrier `Macoma`. It returns after a mission over the Atlantic Ocean in 1944.

High quality poster. Reproduction of original handmade painting by Thijs Postma.
