You have to duck when you look at this gouache, like a movie scene! The Morane Saulnier MS.406C1 No. 846, 5th Escadrille, GC III/I, almost flies out of your painting!

The Morane Saulnier MS.406 was the most important French fighter in terms of quantity when the Germans invaded in 1940. Deliveries began in 1938 and ended in March 1940 with a total of 1,064 aircraft available to the Armeé de l’Air. With its Hispano Suiza engine of 860 hp it was underpowered and with an average pilot it was no match for the German Messerschmitt Bf 109 fighter.

High quality poster. Reproduction of original handmade painting by Thijs Postma.
