KLM ordered four Douglas DC-5 airliners shortly before the Second World War. Due to the German invasion in the Netherlands, these aircraft were sent to the colonial branches in the Far East. There they operated as part of the KNILM, Royal Netherlands Indies Airways.
This reproduction is the month of July of the KLM Calendar.
