Get some history on your wall with this gouache of a Boeing 40B-4. Built in the 1920s and initially used as a mail plane and later as a passenger plane. Get aboard!
This plane, the NC741K, was built in 1929 and a modified mail plane. Passengers were seated in a cargo hold with windows, chairs and a tiny door. The pilot sat in an open cockpit to preserve the feeling of flying. When the aircraft was on the ground, forward visibility was zero, but at low speed the tail already moved upwards.
